It’s hard to believe summer is almost over. That means the pool will be closing soon, hopefully only for the season. If you want to get one last swim in, the pool is scheduled to be open Noon-7:00 through Monday, September 2nd. Hope to see you there!
Happy Birthday to you….. Happy Birthday to you…

Tonight at 7:00 pm we will meet to discuss progress so far, to plan upcoming events, and to share new and creative ideas to preserve and improve our beloved UNH outdoor pool.
On the second floor of the Durham library we will also have a room for children to gather and write letters, and then to watch the movie Bedtime Stories. So bring your kids!!
If you can help with the children’s portion, let us know! Thank you.
There will be a meeting of the Health and Safety committee TONIGHT, August 13, in the Durham library (2nd floor) at 6:30 pm.
On Thursday, August 15, the full FUNHOP group will meet to share our research so far, and plan future events. The full meeting starts at 7:30 pm in the library as well!
(Also keep in mind the pool’s 75th birthday… 4:00 August 21 with a raindate of Aug 22… at the pool of course!)
On Saturday, August 10, the UNH Rec Department is sponsoring a special day at the pool, with free admission to the community. FUNHOP will be there, too! We won’t just be swimming and enjoying our neighbors’ company, as always, but are also planning a fun march through campus to draw attention to the wonderful pool, and a potluck dinner. The march will begin at 4:30 in the parking lot near the pool (gather at 4:15). Bring you good cheer and enthusiasm for the pool!! Potluck after the march.
On Wednesday, August 31, a multi-generational group of nearly 80 members of the community gathered at the fabulous new library to discuss the history and future of the beloved outdoor pool. A number of committees were formed, money donated (!), and plans to put up cheerful lawn signs and order cool t-shirts were made! If you would like to contribute to our efforts, please see the “Want to help?” page or fill out our contact form. Thank you!
